Livestreaming and Interactivity
During my time working for behavioural health & safety trainers MindSafety, a need for online training and conferencing services arose in the construction, energy, transport, manufacture and utility industries, as well as many others, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
I established an Online Training division within the company, and designed a portable livestreaming system to be used around the UK, but mostly in our office/studio in Chester.
The equipment, production methods, lighting techniques, reference material solutions, livestreaming solutions, audio solutions, storyboard, and live production operation were all carried out by me/
Interactivity was also a main focal point for me. I wanted to make the online training experience as close to a face-to-face session as possible. For this, I sourced some software and online services and helped design ways for which the trainer could use to interact directly with their audience. This included polling, wordclouds, question and answer, breakaway groups and more - all to astounding feedback.
